Pay Range

$21.07 - $24.85/hour (placement on salary range as per Collective Agreement)


 

Intake and Information Management Support Staff provides full clerical and administrative support to the Integrated Client and Community Care Team, responsible for all data entry for all VHA and subcontractor referrals, and handle highly sensitive and confidential information related to clients, funders, and service providers.
The main functions of this role include but is not limited to accepting service offers/referrals, coordinating intake referrals and updating information for all VHA PSW subcontractor. #LI-MD1


 

Shift Option Available: 1:30pm-9:30pm Monday- Sunday (guaranteed 21 hours)

You must possess the ability to work the shift schedule above, including weekends and STAT holidays.

The incumbent must also be available to attend a 3-week full-time in-person training program starting on March 9th, 2026, including weekdays and weekends, from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Provides efficient, accurate and timely data entry for OH atHome and Community/Hospital who VHA has partnered with.

  • Maintains client database in accordance with VHA's standard procedures.

  • Acts as the liaison person between the OH atHome and VHA Subcontractors.

  • Creates all Subcontractor projected schedules.

  • Distributes incoming faxes across the organization.

 Key skills, experience and behaviours required for this position:

  • Secondary School Diploma

  • Minimum of two years related work experience or equivalent in a multi-tasking, routine based clerical position

  • A Certificate/Diploma in Medical Terminology is an asset

  • Strong computer skills & experience using database software for reports and data entry

  • Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills (50wpm)

  • Speed and accuracy in computer inputting

  • Excellent telephone skills—the ability to interact professionally with callers

  • Strong organizational & self-management skills

  • Ability to carry out routine tasks efficiently and quickly

  • Attention to detail and the ability to deal with multiple priorities

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with others

  • Knowledge of GoldCare software an asset

  • Knowledge of the HCCSS/Home Healthcare systems is an asset

  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays

  • Demonstrated interest in professional self-development and maintenance of membership in the appropriate professional

  • association(s) and respective College.

  • Demonstrated commitment to client and family centered care.

Satisfactory completion of technical skills testing is required for the position.
