We want to reduce the high unemployment rate of individuals with disabilities
DisabledPerson Canada's mission is to reduce the high unemployment rate of individuals with disabilities. DisabledPerson Canada is a community where employers who are offering inclusive employment can list their current openings. DisabledPerson Canada works hard with proactive employers to secure available positions to provide to our community. That includes hundreds and even thousands of new jobs posted daily.
DisabledPerson Canada does not send out Internet Spiders to roam the Internet and scrape posted jobs from job websites. All the jobs on our job boards are posted directly by the employer or the employer’s representative. This means that you can be assured that the job posting that you found through your jobs search is relevant. It is our mission to work with equity employers to find jobs for the disabled. We have active disabled jobs where hundreds to even thousands are posted every day. Employment of people with disabilities is a huge topic in Canada today.
We at DisabledPerson Canada work hard every day to connect our community with these equity employers offering inclusive employment.
We want all of you to know that “We are here to serve”.
People with disabilities have a great deal to contribute to our society. While the Government of Canada is continuing to support initiatives that improve accessibility and the participation of people with disabilities, there is still work to be done. According to a study from Statistics Canada released in 2014, the employment rate of Canadians aged 25 to 64 with disabilities was 49 percent in 2011, compared with 79 percent for Canadians without a disability.
14.3% of Canadians report having a disability. Canadians with disabilities are more than twice as likely to live in poverty than other Canadians. They face exclusion from quality education, from employment and from participation in their communities.
Individuals with disabilities face many barriers to employment, and it is our goal to open up the dialogue to allow for more opportunities for gainful employment.
In order to make progress in the recruitment, employment, and retention of individuals with disabilities, it is important for companies to embrace a culture of inclusion and acceptance.
Our goal is to provide job seekers with a fully accessible platform with employers who are looking to hire individuals with ABILITIES.
Our goal is to provide employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and give employers an opportunity to hire qualified individuals who can contribute great skills to a company.
