Job Description

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will support the Manager in the execution and reporting a variety of internal and external communications plans and programs. You will create and edit several forms of content including media relations materials, important messaging, customer communications, web content, social and digital, etc. You will maintain key relationships with all partners and will focus on the planning, execution and alignment of communications to the broader Marketing goals regarding corporate priorities and other key initiatives happening across the company.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Write and edit communications for a broad range of audiences including presentations, press releases, bylines, briefing documents, internal and customer-facing communications, etc.

  • Work with the Content Specialist to ensure all content can be used effectively across both traditional and digital channels.

  • Communications representative on key project teams and programs. Help identify requirements, make recommendations and help develop and execute communications deliverables

  • Support internal communications – assisting other departments and partners in addition to accomplishing the overarching internal communications plan. Review and edit communications drafted by company partners and make recommendations to ensure messaging is consistent with corporate strategy and voice

  • Continually improve, measure and evaluate existing communications templates, channels and measurement tools for traditional and digital requirements

  • Support ELT and MLT in public and media relations opportunities including presentations, speeches, award submissions, media and analyst interview preparation etc.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution

  • 2+ years of experience in a communications role

  • Experience measuring communications effectiveness and strategy

  • Experience with graphics production and desktop publishing an asset

  • Adaptable, proactive, deadline-driven, results-oriented – manage multiple priorities and stakeholders with tight timelines

  • Well-developed communication skills with ability to understand and communicate complex technology, data and solutions persuasively and efficiently

  • Bilingual in French (reading, writing, and verbal) is considered an asset
