Job Description

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION 

REPORTING

 

The Furnace Helper reports directly to the Production Supervisor of Toro Aluminum.  He/she is responsibly for general labour work, window assembly and any other duties as required. 

 


SHIFTS AVAILABLE

 

Days - Monday to Friday: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for labelling glass and quality control of tempered glass.
  • Work at glass seaming, preparing glass for tempering.
  • Assembly of windows and window components
  • Packaging of windows and window components
  • Clean work area and equipment
  • Various other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be able to work in a safe manner with little supervision
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic hand tools
  • Ability to use a tape measure
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment
