Your Job

As the Maintenance Leader for the Drying and Energy Area (Area 2) at the Georgia-Pacific Englehart OSB facility, you will be responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities related to our drying and energy production equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of the rotary dryers, energy systems, and associated auxiliary equipment. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to uphold high standards of equipment performance and to minimize downtime.

Georgia-Pacific Englehart is an Oriented Strand Board (OSB) Manufacturing site located in Englehart, Ontario. This type of OSB is used for floor, wall, and roof sheathing in residential and light commercial construction applications. What You Will Do

  • Lead the maintenance team responsible for rotary dryers, energy production systems, and associated equipment (wet bins to dry bins).
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs specific to drying and energy area equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems issues in drying systems, and energy distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies related to energy systems and drying equipment.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting critical drying and energy operations.
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance budgets for Area 2 equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Train and mentor maintenance personnel on the specialized equipment and safety procedures in the drying and energy area.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and downtime analysis.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience managing maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing settings, preferably in wood products, energy generation, or related industries.
  • Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and control system troubleshooting relevant to drying and energy equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex maintenance schedules.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to energy systems.
  • Proficient in using CMMS for maintenance scheduling and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience leading maintenance in an OSB manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with TSSA compliance.
  • Experience working with biomass burning systems.

Salary Range and Reason for Vacancy:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $100k CAD - $140k CAD. This position is a backfill for an employee who vacated the role.
