POSITION OVERVIEW: The Globe and Mail is seeking a senior visuals editor, international, to join our visuals team.
This AA role is an opportunity to work with award-winning photojournalists based around the world on The Globe's high-impact visual storytelling. The ideal candidate will have strong editorial judgment with a track record of creating compelling visual-first narratives.
Reporting to the head of photo and video, the senior visuals editor, international will help craft and hone visual storytelling, curate and edit visual content for multiple platforms, write and edit captions and other copy, and help manage logistics for complex international assignments.
Collaboration is essential for success in this role. You will work closely with the visual team, the foreign desk, and senior editors across the newsroom to see projects through ideation to production and publication.
