The Process Engineering Technologist will support, maintain, and enhance automated production systems. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC programming experience, solid industrial networking knowledge, and hands-on experience with HMI systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. He or She will also review existing processes and manage the transition of technologies and new processes for batch scale up. The Process Engineering Technologist will implement continuous improvement projects, support new product launches through APQP and PFMEA development, and trouble shoots processes as required in a hands-on, fast paced environment. The Process Engineering Technologist will optimize assembly manufacturing, welding and line processes.
Will possess a strong understanding of industrial network communications, including EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, Omron FINS Ethernet, and related protocols.
Be Proficient in Omron PLC programming using CX-Programmer and Sysmac Studio.
Have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
Ability to integrate and troubleshoot Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs
Experience with PLC tag creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization
Process Engineering Technologists are responsible for the daily and long-term performance of production systems:
Process Monitoring & Control: Operating control panels, monitoring process units, and controlling start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting.
Optimization & Improvement: Analyzing process trends, reducing waste, boosting efficiency, and implementing improvements.
Technical Support & Documentation: Preparing production reports, maintaining data logs, and creating technical documentation, such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs.
Safety & Compliance: Ensuring operations adhere to environmental, legal, and safety standards.
Collaboration: Working with engineers and technicians to test, commission, and validate new equipment.
