JOB SUMMARY

Weigh and grade nonferrous scrap brought in by customers and through the company bin service.  Ensure material is graded fairly, accurately and consistently. Assist in processing, storing, and loading product purchases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, and properly categorize nonferrous metals brought in by peddler and commercial customers, in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with material sorting, organization, cleanliness and other tasks as needed
• Assist with inventory counts
• Help with material processing when not engaged in purchasing activities
• Provide guidance to Nonferrous Laborers to ensure material quality and production efficiency
• Load trucks with skid steer, ensuring optimal freight utilization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum education level – completion of High School or GED equivalent
• No experience necessary but previous work experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrapyard environment will be considered an asset
