Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Logistic Support Analyst (LSA) to join our Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team. This role supports the AJISS contract for the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV) and Joint Support Ship (JSS) programs. The Senior LSA will validate logistic support deliverables, maintain the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), and ensure alignment with the Technical Data Package (TDP). A high priority will be developing training and mentoring programs to build internal staff capability in ILS methods and tools. The position reports directly to the LSA Manager and works closely with the TDP Manager.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Senior LSA will assess the accuracy, completeness, and quality of analyses, reports, and technical data, identify gaps or deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions. They will update and maintain the LSAR to ensure data integrity and consistency with the TDP and system configurations. Training and mentoring of internal staff will be a high priority, requiring the candidate to develop structured training material and programs. The Senior LSA will report directly to the LSA Manager and work closely with the TDP Manager to integrate deliverables across both functions.
• Review and validate logistic support deliverables submitted under the AJISS contract.
• Assess accuracy, completeness, and quality of LSA reports, technical analyses, and data.
• Identify gaps or deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Update and maintain LSAR data to ensure alignment with the TDP and current system configurations.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support activities such as Maintenance Task Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Spares Analysis, and Provisioning Documentation.
• Attend Equipment Design Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings as required.
• Review vendor documentation to identify maintenance and support requirements.
• Prepare and deliver Maintenance Plans, Preventive Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions.
• Develop and deliver training programs and materials to mentor and train internal staff in ILS.
• Support the development of User Manuals and training material for external stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical proposals and life cycle program plans.
• Apply cost modeling and level of repair analysis to recommend spare parts solutions.
• Generate ILS data deliverables (CDRLs / SDRLs).
Basic Qualifications
• Degree/diploma in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent military/industry background in logistics support.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistic Support Analysis and sustainment management, ideally on DND, RCN, or CCG programs, or in naval/marine/shipbuilding environments.
• Advanced expertise in logistics and reliability analysis methods (LSA, MTA, RAM, FMECA, LORA).
• Proficiency with LSA and supportability tools such as OmegaPS LSAR Database, Windchill Risk and Reliability, MIL-HDBK-217, WQS Prediction, WQS OpSim, WQS FTA Lite, and FMEA.
• Experience with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
• Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for quality assurance and validation work.
• Ability to identify gaps in technical data and recommend practical resolutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience mentoring, training, or leading junior staff in an ILS environment.
• Prior experience on large-scale In-Service Support contracts for naval or defence programs.
• Familiarity with Canadian Armed Forces and Department of National Defence policies, standards, and approval processes.
• Knowledge of Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTOs), government technical publications, and S1000D/IETM specifications.
• Working knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and French) considered an asset.
• Certification in Reliability, Maintainability, or Supportability Engineering is an advantage.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo).
• Experience maintaining LSARs and TDPs for large-scale naval or defence programs.
• Knowledge of configuration management principles and asset management
• Background in supporting operational naval systems and equipment.
Physical Demands
• Predominantly office work but may be required to work in dockyards and onboard Naval ships

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) 114,947.20 – 143,684.00 CAD Annual.
