The Role:

As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for creating, testing, documenting, and managing a library of reports and data visualizations. Our ideal candidate is curious, analytical and detail-oriented team player who can translate business questions into effective reporting solutions. You feel comfortable learning, sharing knowledge, and working to make the team stronger.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related analytics technologies
  • Participating in and contributing to work planning (like breaking work into stories and scheduling stories into sprints) and technical planning conversations, like data model design and implementation
  • Supporting quality assurance by participating in peer reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities
  • Cleaning, and organizing data from various sources, and performing data analysis using BI tools and techniques to identify trends and patterns
  • Working with customers to elicit reporting requirements, to design and build reports based on those requirements, and to iterate with the customer as needed
  • Working with internal stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and develop BI solutions that meet those needs
  • Providing end-user support for internal and external customers, resolving issues, and troubleshooting problems related to BI tools and systems
  • Ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and consistent, and that data governance policies and procedures are followed
  • Having a growth mindset, keeping current with changing technologies and techniques, and continuously improving BI systems and processes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or post-secondary education in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Must-have technical skills: SQL, Excel, basic Power BI
  • Nice-to-have technical skills: Fabric, advanced Power BI, Git, Python, R, Java, Power Query M, DAX, Power Automate, workflow orchestration tools
  • Must-have business skills: basic understanding of Agile principles and practices, analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork and collaboration skills, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills
  • Nice-to-have business skills: Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
  • Nice-to-have experience: Automotive industry experience, DMS experience (including PBS)
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing). Speaking French is an advantage
