Job Description

The Project Manager - Supply Chain is a high-profile role within the Supply Chain team, with responsibility for the oversight and delivery of performance across various supply chain programs and initiatives within a matrix organization. You will be accountable for the successful management of cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, driving results against critical program timelines and being the conduit for both upward communication to executives and across into the functional teams.

The role reports directly to the Director, Supply Chain with significant interface across leadership in Engineering, Planning, Operations, Finance, and the Program Management Office.

Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

What you'll do

  • Lead and run intricate supply chain programs concurrently, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of activities. Collaborate with stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, operations, and finance to align program goals and objectives. Foster collaboration, communication, and effective working relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to supervise program performance. Regularly assess and report progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Find opportunities to optimize supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leverage standard practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and partners, to create and maintain strong relationships. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration, resolve issues, and ensure effective supply chain operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the supply chain program's success. Create contingency plans, assess potential disruptions, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Lead and support change management activities related to process improvements, system implementations, or organizational changes. Communicate changes proactively, lead resistance, and facilitate smooth transitions.
  • Develop and lead program budgets, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Collaborate with finance teams to track expenses, monitor financial performance, and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Prepare and present program status reports, executive summaries, and other relevant documentation to communicate program progress, achievements, and challenges. Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to program team members. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional development and high-performance culture.

What you'll bring
  • 10+ years of experience holding high levels of responsibility and reliably delivering results in a supply chain and/or program management role(s)
  • Proven history and familiarity with matrix organizational structures and running cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and how they integrate into large manufacturing projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of sophisticated tasks within tight timelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate optimally across all levels of the business.
  • Ability to motivate change, influence stakeholders, and lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $121,500-$148,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Apply
