As a Finance Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Service Division (ELSE) in Canada, benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. Provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget and forecasts in order to support ABB Group management and other stakeholders at various organization levels in decision making processes.You will be responsible to act as a support to the finance team and the business operations, supporting all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the business performance.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with controllers and the Finance/Accounting team to identify and discuss issues and suggestions for improvement.
  • Month end activities to include but not limited to, account analyses, account reconciliations, journal entry creation, posting and review, inventory analyses, balance reconciliations.
  • Helping to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting documents and presentations.
  • Financial compliance reporting to include monthly, quarterly and annual reviews.
  • Support reporting needs of the business throughout the month including month end and quarter end processes.
  • Fixed asset monitoring, analysis, review and reporting.
  • Maintaining audit trails and documentation for future audits and reviews.
  • Communicating information to relevant stakeholder groups to support corrective action plans.
  • Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication and coordinating information requirements.
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.

Your background
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Administration or related.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.
  • Financial acumen, experience with problem solving with analytical thinking.
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software.
  • Knowledge of SAP Software is a must, Power BI is an advantage.
  • Microsoft Office experience (intermediate/advance experience in excel)
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days home).
