Job Description

Why is this role so great?

  •  The Project Documentation Writer will be responsible for documenting and updating processes.
  • Work with and attend Project meetings with the team onsite to assist with meeting minutes and other such documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with project team members, to help develop and document process flows and standard operating procedures for publication and maintaining good document control.
  • Capture and formalize notes, requirements, flowcharts from meetings, meeting minutes, and workshops using a prescribed format.

 What does this role responsible for?

  • Create and update Process Maps, Standard Operating Procedures, Requirements Documents and supporting documentation such as process documentation/workflows, reports, checklists, forms, knowledge articles, self-service guides or manuals for the a given project
  • Coordinate track, review and ensure timely completion of high quality controlled documents (i.e. process flows, procedures, reports, forms, specifications, protocols, etc.)
  • Transcribe workshop whiteboarding sessions into usable documents that can be used for the artifacts listed in the bullet above.
  • Update and produce testing and training documentation throughout the project as required.

What is required for the role?

  • Solid analytical skills that can translate the analysis into documentation.
  • Work independently and in a team setting.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior technical writing skills with a high attention to proper grammatical rules and guidelines
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Lucid Chart, Smart Sheets
  • Articulate and computer literate. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Accurate and precise with above average organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members.
  • Ability to handle multitask assignments and prioritize work on demand.
  • Personable, with a high level of “people” and communication attributes, both oral and written.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Lean in the Office experience is an asset
  • Wide knowledge of business processes and workflows for various types of businesses.
  • Ability to identify new solutions to solve business problems.
  • Work on site at project meeting locations.
  • Ability to work weekends and after hours as required.
