Job Description

Lynden International Logistics ULC is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Quality Control Team! Our business continues to grow, and we are seeking an Quality Assurance Coordinator/Controlled Substances Specialist.

WORKING SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm 

REPORTS TO: Director of Regulatory/Quality Assurance

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the day to day operations of the Narcotic department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Picking orders for shipment against verified legal signatures.
  • Entering product receipts into inventory.
  • Checking reports on a daily and monthly basis for accuracy..
  • Checking and monitoring inventory levels for discrepancies and/or potential back orders.
  • Checking returns and entering them into inventory.
  • Dealing with customer and client questions and/or concerns.
  • Maintaining the security of the overall caged area including the vaults
  • Checking orders and routing through agile system
  • Perform daily and month end inventories
  • Cover for QPIC during his/her absence or as required
  • Perform sampling for new product receipts based on client procedures.
  • Perform product identification for product receipts and returns based on client procedures.
  • Selection of retention samples based on client procedures.
  • Perform inventory adjustments in WMS when necessary

SKILLS/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High work standards.
  • Good problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to provide work direction and instructions to assisting staff.
  • Strong knowledge of current regulatory requirements for controlled drugs management
  • Knowledge in QA related responsibilities

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Minimum education required:

Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacology, chemistry, biology, pharmacy technician, laboratory technician, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs or supply chain management or security. Foreign equivalency is also accepted.
