WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will support the implementation of digital marketing and fundraising campaigns and initiatives to achieve fundraising and mission goals for Make-A-Wish® Canada (MAWC). This role will contribute to the end-to-end execution of digital marketing efforts for the organization, ensuring we utilize current best practices to maximize our marketing and fundraising efforts. 

This role can be based out of anywhere in Canada. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position. The hiring range for this role is $69,100-$74,100.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager in the development, implementation, and optimization of digital marketing and fundraising initiatives for new and existing programs, across the organization.
  • Lead the management, implementation, development, testing and deployment of donor emails, including writing content, project management, building the emails in our email marketing software, testing, and deployment to ensure high delivery, open and click-through rates.
  • Manage donor lists and segmentation, identification of audience overlaps and resolving them with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and flawless campaign sends.
  • Manage existing donor journeys through email and website content, ensuring timely touchpoints and relevance based on user behavior.
  • Develop engaging, audience-specific digital content, including SEO-rich blog posts and storytelling pieces to increase brand awareness and drive organic traffic.
  • Produce and analyze regular email and digital marketing performance reports, sharing performance and insights with stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing research on innovations and best practices related to digital fundraising and marketing.
  • Ensure consistent adherence of Make-A-Wish Canada's visual identity and web development standards for all digital marketing and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure that all digital marketing and fundraising initiatives adhere, and are compliant, to CRA, CASL, Privacy, Accessibility and other relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Education in marketing and/or online marketing/e-commerce, or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • 3-4 years of digital marketing experience, including email campaigns, paid media (search, social, PMAX, video, remarketing), and GA4 analysis
  • Proficiency in web analytics and reporting (Google Analytics/GA4).
  • Strong content writing skills with a focus on engagement and conversion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset.
  • Experience in large, multi-level, or non-profit organizations is an asset.
  • Project and client management experience is an asset.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative work style.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check will be required.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work environment: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week.
  • Occasional need to work outside of traditional office hours.
  • Occasional day and/or overnight travel for team gatherings.

 

Physical/Mental Effort

  • Work under pressure at peak times of the year with tight deadlines, high volume workload, and with multiple demands, changing and overlapping priorities.
