WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Business Analyst, Fundraising Operations to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Director, Fundraising Operations, this role is the technical engine of the Fundraising Operations team, responsible for the health, financial integrity, and strategic utility of our fundraising systems. Working in close partnership with the Manager, Prospect Research and the Manager, Stewardship & Donor Engagement, the incumbent is the technical implementer who brings the team's operational strategy to life through systems, automation, and analytics.

This role can be based anywhere in Canada and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position. The hiring range for this role is $69,000-$75,000.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Configure, maintain, and integrate Salesforce, iWave, DonorDrive, and related fundraising platforms, partnering with Business Applications and IT to resolve operational gaps and improve system integration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fundraising technology vendors, managing licensing, troubleshooting service issues, and recommending technology enhancements to ensure platforms continue to meet organizational needs.
  • Oversee technical workflows and reconciliation processes between Salesforce and finance systems to maintain a single source of truth for gift processing and organizational reporting.
  • Build, implement, and monitor automated business rules supporting prospect clearance workflows, donor pipelines, and moves management tracking in alignment with fundraising operations standards.
  • Conduct routine data hygiene audits and maintain accurate, comprehensive donor and prospect records in Salesforce to support data governance standards and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and predictive models to forecast revenue, donor retention, and upgrade likelihood, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for fundraising priorities and national revenue forecasting.
  • Establish and manage a Fundraising Operations Help Desk to provide technical support to staff and design and deliver ongoing training programs on system updates and new processes for teams across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-secondary education in business, information systems, data analytics, or equivalent experience, training and education.
  • 3-5 years' experience in similar roles, with expertise demonstrated in Salesforce and nonprofit technologies.
  • Salesforce Administrator or other certifications preferred.
  • Experience with financial reconciliation processes and understanding of fundraising data integration with accounting reporting requirements.
  • Experience building dashboards, predictive models and revenue forecasts, with advanced proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to manage technical workstreams, vendor relationships, licensing, and service escalations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and external partners.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check is required.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work environment (2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week) with occasional requirement to work outside of traditional office hours.
  • Occasional day and/or overnight travel.

  • Work under pressure of tight deadlines, with a high-volume workload, and with multiple demands & changing priorities.
