Reporting to the Director of Agile Practice at Moneris, the Senior Agile Coach is responsible for leading all levels of the organization through an Agile transformation at scale by training, facilitating, and mentoring. You will train teams to resolve impediments and shift mindsets and behaviors. Be a role model by demonstrating the right mindset including a test and learn attitude, a bias for action, a passion to innovate and a willingness to learn.

What you'll do:

  • Help stand up new agile teams and provide coaching and consulting to these teams to support their development and ongoing improvement to become independent and functional. This includes supporting the development of the Product Owner, Scrum Master and the team members

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, impediment management, and leadership to facilitate collaboration, development consistency, and value delivery across multiple teams and departments

  • Create a safe environment for healthy conflict and meaningful collaboration and provides the team with a platform for continuous improvements and raising blockers early

  • Proactively analyze and makes recommendations for improvements to existing agile organizational practices and patterns at the team level

  • Promote the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization including leading teams and influencing leaders and partners as they learn and adopt Agile practices by supporting them through coaching, mentoring, facilitating and teaching

  • Implement and monitor metrics to gauge teams' efficiency, by improving their capacity to resolve causes of delay and building a sustainable model

What you bring (Must-have...):

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering Degree

  • Agile Coaching certification, Certified Scrum Master or designation preferred

  • 5+ years of coaching experience in Agile delivery/transformation/training/coaching and is a discipline expert in agile practices

  • Experience as an agile practitioner in an agile transformation environment with teams that are new to agile methodology

  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments

  • Strong organizational change management orientation

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Virtual Collaboration Tools (MS Teams, Mural, Miro)

  • Proficient with JIRA, Confluence and Microsoft Office (i.e., MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
