Position Summary

The DRIvE Innovation Team is looking for a Business Analyst – Digital Transformation who will work at the forefront of leveraging emergent and disruptive technologies, including Group digital platforms such as HeadLight Suite, to drive sustainable digital transformation across primarily the maritime in-service support business. Our team includes engineers, maritime professionals, AI and data engineers, design specialists and others. We focus on refining use cases, understanding business needs, and applying design thinking techniques to help envision solutions that can improve capabilities, readiness, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will contribute to contextualizing these challenges and implementing iterative improvements according to business priorities.

Key Areas of Responsibility

•    Innovation Challenge Analysis: Work closely with the DRIvE Innovation Team and/or the AJISS Integration Management Office to understand and analyze innovation challenges from across the business and the customer. Conduct research to identify how digital technologies can be applied to these challenges and refine use cases for potential solutions.
•    Emergent Technology Integration: Help assess the practical applications of digital technologies within the context of our solutions for the maritime and government sectors. Contribute to the design of systems and solutions that harness these technologies to drive transformation.
•    Use Case and Design Thinking Support: Apply design thinking techniques to help the team refine use cases, better understand customer needs, and collaborate on envisioning impactful solutions. Your insights will help bridge the gap between innovation and practical, real-world implementation.
•    Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to capture and prioritize business requirements. Help facilitate conversations that align business needs with technological possibilities, ensuring that proposed solutions are feasible and impactful.
•    Implementation Support: Engage with cross-functional teams during agile sprints, analyzing and synthesizing data that supports the development of new solutions. Implement solutions, track progress, evaluate feasibility, and ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the business.
•    Reporting and Communication: Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations that convey complex data and trends in a digestible way for senior leaders and key stakeholders, ensuring that your insights influence decision-making processes.

Minimum Qualifications
•    Undergraduate degree in engineering, technology or a related field.
•    Technical experience with digital tools suites such as the HeadLight Suite – especially understanding how it can be used to solve user problems in a pragmatic way that fits in the bigger picture. And interest in data analysis, AI concepts and other emerging technologies.
•    Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to analyze complex data, emerging technologies, and geopolitical trends. The ability to generate actionable insights that inform innovation and business strategy is key to this role.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in delivering presentations and simplifying intricate concepts is essential.
•    Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, sprint-driven environment. The capacity to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines is essential.
•    Team Collaboration: A proactive, team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
•    Interest in Technology and Business Innovation: A keen interest in how emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and digital transformation are shaping industries. A passion for understanding how these advancements can be used to create impactful, future-ready solutions for the maritime and government sectors.
