Pay Range
Base Salary: $92,000.00 - $116,000.00 (commensurate with experience)
Key Areas of Accountability:
Communication and Collaboration
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies.
Report Writing
Work within the data analytics team to review and refine reports and dashboards, ensuring outputs are accurate and reliable.
Data Storytelling
Leverage data storytelling techniques to communicate complex insights in a clear, compelling way that supports strategic and operational decisions.
Data Analysis
Work with the Data Engineer to collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights that can improve patient care, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
Statistical Analysis and Modeling
Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyze data, build predictive models, and uncover patterns and trends.
Operationalize Data
Support the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance client outcomes, satisfaction, and operational performance.
Privacy and Security
Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Continuous Learning
Staying updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to continuously improve methodologies and too.
Programming and Software Proficiency
Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, along with data visualization tools like Power BI, to manipulate data and present findings.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
Identify business problems, formulate hypotheses, and design experiments to evaluate and validate solutions.
Required Qualifications:
A master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, health economics, health services research, informatics, or a related discipline is required. A bachelor's degree combined with at least five years of relevant work experience may also be considered.
Proven experience as a decision support specialist, data engineer, or data scientist, preferably in the healthcare industry working with, and managing, large datasets.
Proficiency in programming languages including SQL, Python and R
Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools, with a strong ability to present data stories to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on decision support for operations.
Thorough knowledge of statistical methods with the flexibility to select and apply the appropriate techniques for the relevant
questions.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, including the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Knowledge of healthcare data regulations and standards (e.g., PHIPA).
Experience with Machine Learning, Large Language Models and other AI techniques.
Experience working with, and managing, large datasets
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure tools including Azure AI Services · Familiarity with Client Record Management (CRM) Systems.
Understanding of homecare operations and challenges.
Proven experience in using data for operational decision support and improvement.
