Summary
Sask DLC is seeking a temporary contractor in Saskatoon to help grow the resources available to support French as a second official language instruction with a start date of February 24th or earlier based on the availability of the applicant. This temporary contract will conclude after 3 months. In your cover letter please indicate if your area of specialty and/or experience is elementary and/or secondary grades.
Primary Responsibilities
- Gather, evaluate, share (to Resource Bank) and organize French resources to support Kindergarten to Grade 12 teachers, students and families in Saskatchewan in a structured and organized format: including cultural activities as well as classroom materials.
- Align resources to Saskatchewan curricular outcomes.
- Organize existing resources.
- Collaborate with other French teachers in the province to gather, share, align and organize their high-quality resources.
- Collaboratively develop resources in identified areas.
- Promote The Resource Bank and French Resources.
- Create training videos and offer virtual professional development
- Organize and facilitate focus groups with French teachers from across the province of Saskatchewan • Grow the existing French Hub(s) and Collections of resources based on the needs of the province (in collaboration and with the support of the Resource Bank Consultant).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities - Fluent in oral and written French and English
- French instruction experience
- Deep understanding of the Saskatchewan French Immersion and Core French learning outcomes
- Comfortable meeting and working in an online environment (Microsoft Teams)
- Comfortable trying new technology (with support as needed); training will be provided by the Resource Bank Consultant.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others as well as work independently
- A growth mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience - Bachelor of Education (B.ED.) or equivalent teaching certification in Saskatchewan
Employment Conditions - Office environment/setting.
- Typical core office hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Monday to Friday.
- Travel as required.

- Sask DLC offers an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive salary (MCP03 with a pro-rated annual salary range of $61,296 to $79,704), comprehensive health and dental benefits, and a pension plan. Salary can be negotiated based on experience and educational background.
