Job Description
The Account Executive-Strategic Account (BC) is responsible for the overall success and long-term growth of a major anchor client relationship in British Columbia and enabling the growth of Maximus business across all service lines and maintenance services within the BC public sector.
This role is first and foremost a trusted delivery and relationship leader who ensures Maximus consistently delivers on its commitments and is viewed by the client as a credible, outcomes-focused partner. Through strong performance, deep understanding of client priorities, and sustained executive relationships, the incumbent act as a strategic advisor who brings forward ideas that improve outcomes, introduce innovation, and expand Maximus' contribution over time. As a result, growth is achieved through credibility, insight, and trusted advisory relationships.

- Support and help shape related opportunities across the BC government ecosystem
- A strong and visible presence in Victoria is essential to building trusted, long-term relationships with client and government stakeholders .
Strategic Account Leadership (Anchor Client) - Serve as senior relationship owner for assigned major BC public-sector client(s)
- Develop and execute a multi-year account strategy aligned to client and Maximus priorities
- Ensure successful delivery of contracted services and achievement of performance outcomes
- Monitor account financial performance, risks, and opportunities
- Act as escalation point for client issues and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure full understanding of contractual commitments and delivery obligations
- Provide strategic insight and advice to both client and Maximus leadership
- Manage partner relationships as applicable within the portfolio
Executive Client Relationship Management - Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client executives and decision makers
- Maintain regular in-person engagement with client leadership in Victoria
- Understand client strategic and policy direction, operational priorities, and modernization goals
- Position Maximus as a long-term transformation and service delivery partner
- Represent Maximus in client governance forums, planning sessions, and industry events
Innovation, Advisory & Account Growth - Develop a deep understanding of client strategic priorities, pressures, and modernization goals
- Act as a trusted advisor by bringing forward ideas that improve outcomes, efficiency, and citizen experience
- Identify opportunities to responsibly expand or enhance services where Maximus can add value
- Support the shaping of business cases and solution concepts aligned to client needs
- Partner with Growth and Proposal teams when formal opportunities emerge
- Share insight on related opportunities across the BC government ecosystem connected to the anchor client
- Facilitate introductions and relationship development where appropriate
- Contribute to sustainable, relationship-based growth built on delivery credibility and trust
Internal Leadership & Coordination - Lead cross-functional teams supporting the account (operations, technology, finance, delivery)
- Ensure alignment between client commitments and internal execution
- Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Provide client and market intelligence to senior leadership
- Collaborate with national growth and solution teams
Community & Market Presence (Victoria-Based) - Maintain visible and active presence in the Victoria public-sector community
- Build relationships with government stakeholders and ecosystem partners
- Represent Maximus at relevant forums and events
Job Requirements
- University degree in business, public administration, technology, or related field
- 10+ years experience in account management and business development with public sector clients
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex public-sector or enterprise accounts
- Experience working with BC public-sector clients strongly preferred
- Experience in technology-enabled services - digital transformation and application management environments preferred
- Experience supporting or contributing to proposal or expansion opportunities is an asset
Additional Requirements - Must be based in Victoria, BC
- Regular in-person client engagement required
- Travel within BC and occasionally nationally
- Participation in industry and community events expected

$160,000.00
Maximum Salary
$190,000.00
