Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Graphic Designer will create brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency, manage freelancer relationships, produce graphics and other brand assets.
Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00
Location(s): This role will a mixture of remote and hybrid work. The ideal candidate would be able to come when needed. Locations include: 335 Steelcase Road East (L3R 1G3) and 61 McPherson Street (L3R 3L3).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop creative concepts and create high-quality designs and mock-ups for sales collaterals, trade show promo materials and booth designs, sample kit materials, presentation templates, images and video assets for ads, social media, websites and other marketing channels.
Create graphics, such as infographics, illustrations, superimposed images, icons, logos, etc.
Capture and edit various images and videos, e.g. products, processes, events, interviews, speeches, etc.
Create animations and videos to illustrate a concept or inspire action.
Develop comprehensive brand guidelines applicable to both digital and non-digital assets, including typography, logo variations, usage, clear space, and sizing, colour palette and usage, image and photography style and treatments, etc.
Ensure consistency of the branding across all customer touchpoints that use design elements.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to delivery, ensuring that deadlines are met.
Proof-read and conduct final reviews of design work.
Collaborate with internal requesters from the marketing team and other teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines. Explain the rationale behind design choices.
Manage vendors and freelancers, provide clear instructions and briefing, evaluate their work, negotiate fees and ensure output quality and on-time deliverables.
Enable the non-design team with self-serve tools such as Canva or AI image generators. Set up ready-to-use templates and approval process. Provide clear instructions and smooth onboarding to the tools.
Be aware of and apply the latest and greatest design trends.
Be passionate and curious about learning the specifics and details of the company business, products, target verticals, ideal customer profiles, and apply this knowledge to designs.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in creative roles (creative agency or in-house).
An impressive portfolio of B2B design work.
Senior-level design skills.
A strong comprehension of UX and how graphics can enhance the online digital user experience.
Proficiency in design software.
Strong understanding of design principles and best practices.
Proficiency in digital image capture and editing in both photography and video platforms.
Business-level proficiency in English language.
Design-related degree.
