Position Summary
The Assistant Vice President, IT Operations oversees and manages our End-User Services and Enterprise Platforms portfolios. The portfolio includes Senior level leadership of the IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, Contact Centre Technology, IT Service Management, M365, Cloud & On-Premise Hosting (Azure & AWS), Networking, Telecommunications and operational IT Security. This position has the responsibility of establishing and implementing tactical and operational plans for the division with significant impact on the achievement of Corporate functional results with a focus on mid- to long-term strategies (3-5 years) to achieve business results. This position will report to our National Vice President, Product.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Ability to effectively lead and support multiple teams of directors/senior managers, and managers
• Requires ability to negotiate and compromise, and ability to communicate and influence senior executive leadership
• Considerable knowledge of project management, business theory, business processes and budgeting;
• Solid understanding of technical infrastructure, information systems technologies, systems administration, software development, quality assurance, and enterprise architecture;
• Enterprise leadership skills including strategic thinking, business acumen, coaching for performance, relationship building, and complex decision making;
• Strong public speaking skills, verbal and written communication skills, and negotiation skills
Education and Experience
• Minimum 15 years' experience in Information Technology and 10 years in progressive leadership roles with advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams;
• A university degree or diploma in the field of Computer Science or Business Administration; or equivalent education and experience;
• Experience in overseeing business application development, implementation, and integration; reasonable knowledge in the area of hardware infrastructure management;
• Proven leadership experience within a complex organizational structure with a history of managing and developing a diverse team of professionals;
