WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada.  Reporting to the Director, Business Applications, this role works closely with mission, fund development, leadership, and operations teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights. You will play a key role in transforming organizational data into intelligence that supports fundraising, marketing, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

This role can be based out of anywhere in Canada and is a full-time, hybrid, permanent position. The hiring range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000.
*The position is remote if located in Ottawa or New Brunswick.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain standard and interactive (drill-down) reports, dashboards, and alerts to support business decision-making.
  • Analyze donor segmentation, engagement, campaign performance, and fundraising metrics; identify trends related to attrition, donations, and mission impact.
  • Develop and implement segmentation strategies to enable personalized supporter journeys and targeted campaigns.
  • Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources to support cross-platform analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve data quality by developing processes, resolving errors, and identifying anomalies.
  • Collaborate with governance teams to ensure data collection, management, and reporting align with organizational standards and strategy.
  • Prepare complex contact lists and campaign files for communications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data standards.
  • Maintain expertise in data models, reporting tools, and systems; provide user support and guidance on reporting and data practices.
  • Partner with management and stakeholders to prioritize reporting needs and support information management initiatives and ad hoc requests.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Education in Mathematics, Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience, training and education.
  • Strong experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.
  • Experience in data reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience in analytical tools such as SPSS or SAS.
  • Strong skills in data modelling, identity reconciliation, duplicate management, and segmentation.
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Data Cloud Consultant, Tableau CRM, Einstein Discovery, Marketing Cloud) are an asset.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check is required.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work model, with 2 days in-office per week and 3 days remote. Occasional requirement to work outside of regular office hours.

  • Work under pressure of tight deadlines, balancing high volume workload, and with multiple demands and changing priorities.
