Job Description

Purpose

Operate a variety of metal forming and finishing equipment to support manufacturing output. Perform setup, processing, and routine inspections while working in coordination with team members to meet quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and Adjust Equipment (30%)
Run punch presses, brake presses (hydraulic and mechanical), and forge furnaces to support metal forming processes. Monitor performance and make control adjustments to maintain output quality and consistency.

Handle Setup and Beveling Tasks (20%)
Prepare beveling equipment and perform setups using job specifications, templates, and measurements. Confirm accuracy before and during operations to meet dimensional requirements.

Support Collaborative Production (15%)
Work alongside A Operators and Die Setters to keep production flowing. Jump in where needed to assist with part handling, adjustments, or staging activities.

Interpret Drawings and Verify Measurements (15%)
Read blueprints and part specifications to guide setup and production. Use imperial and metric measurement tools to confirm alignment with standards.

Document Work and Perform Quality Checks (10%)
Track labor time and job steps using Kronos and work orders. Perform in-process inspections to monitor quality and maintain traceability.

Maintain Safety and Work Area Organization (10%)
Keep tools and equipment organized and work areas clean. Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety initiatives and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Ability to read blueprints; experience with hydraulic presses, material handling equipment, and forge furnace operations preferred.

  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in reading and measuring both metric and imperial dimensions.
