JOIN OUR TEAM

Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking a dedicated and proactive Recruiter to join our Employee Services – Recruitment team. This is a permanent full-time position based at our head office in the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, BC. Hybrid work arrangements (on-site and remote) may be considered based on operational needs.

Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport. As an established regional airline, we fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities within the province of British Columbia.

In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for Airport Operations and Flight Crew positions while supporting broader People & Culture initiatives. You will play a critical part in building strong talent pipelines and ensuring we hire exceptional individuals who embody our People First values. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Lead all stages of the recruitment lifecycle, including intake meetings, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, and pre-employment checks
  • Build positive candidate relationships and assess suitability based on skills, experience, competencies, safety mindset, and cultural alignment
  • Manage candidate activity and workflow within the Dayforce ATS, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
  • Support additional recruitment needs across the organization as required

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Use multiple sourcing channels including online platforms, social media, employee referrals, industry connections, and aviation schools
  • Represent Pacific Coastal Airlines at career fairs, campus events, and aviation-related networking activities
  • Lead and manage the Company's Low Time Pilot Program, including screening, program coordination, and proactive pipeline development

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide strategic recruitment support
  • Recommend improvements to enhance the candidate experience and hiring outcomes
  • Ensure timely movement of candidates through the recruitment process with consistent communication and follow-through

HR Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain requisition accuracy and candidate tracking within the Dayforce ATS
  • Establish consistent tracking, reporting, and evaluation processes for candidate activity
  • Identify opportunities to enhance recruitment workflows and support People & Culture initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in aviation
  • Experience recruiting for technical or specialized roles
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-location hiring
  • Familiarity with regional airline operations is an asset

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using ATS/HRIS systems; Dayforce experience is an asset
  • Effective use of social media platforms for sourcing (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and aviation specific platforms)

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Understanding of recruitment best practices and industry trends
  • Knowledge of aviation workforce needs is an asset
  • Familiarity with the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights legislation, and company policy frameworks

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and meet recruitment targets
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
