Position Summary

Thales requires a Senior Life Cycle Applications Manager who will be responsible for supporting all LC4ISR life cycle application management (LCAM) functions, including software lifecycle management: configuration management, code archiving and storage, versioning, training, documentation, packaging, handling, storage and transportation, problem resolution, and other software maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Life Cycle Applications Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting engineering studies and analysis to provide technical solutions to stated application or operational requirements/problems including preparation of Engineering Changes (ECs).
  • Preparing and issuing Material Change Notices (MCNs) whenever ECs affect end-items such as part numbers, drawing numbers, manufacturer's code, quantities and applicability.
  • Defining standards and criteria relevant to applications and software maintenance.
  • Preparing, modifying or updating specifications and drawings. Preparing, modifying or updating software handbooks, application lists, operating manuals and technical instructions and orders.
  • Performing configuration management.
  • Monitoring and reporting on software applications under management including cataloguing activities, version control, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College Diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology or a relevant technical field.

Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in security engineering, with experience in a minimum of 4 of the following:

  • Experience using a recognized Process framework or using a LCMM Handbook.
  • Experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g. SAP) for equipment cataloguing.
  • Experience working on ERP for maintaining and developing checklists.
  • Experience working on ERP for coordinating equipment or software distribution.
  • Evaluating and providing solutions to deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCR).
  • Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR).
  • Reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP).
  • Planning and executing equipment or software demilitarization and disposal.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Security Specialist on Military Command and Control systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in the preparation of technical documents including requirements, specification, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, equipment and software disposal plans.
