Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA) is looking for a Permanent Full Time Charter Sales and Program Manager based at the South Terminal of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in Richmond, BC or within the PCA network. This position operates in a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work, with frequent travel throughout British Columbia. We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience working in sales.
Reporting to the Manager, Business Development and Sales. The Charter Sales and Program Manager provides key support in charter sales and oversees the charter program. This role will work closely with all charter clients, brokerage firms, travel trade, as well as internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for coordinating the implementation and management of sales with clients in order to meet company revenue targets for growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate for this role is sales-minded and will help grow Pacific Coastal Airlines charter revenue and develop key attributes of the charter program. Work with existing clients, new inquiries, generate leads, and explore new opportunities, this position will provide support for charter sales and key business development initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Charter Sales:
- Work with the Senior Manager, Business Development, to develop and maintain revenue targets, growth strategies, and any budget requirements
- Provide all levels of support for charter clients, acting as primary contact
- Maintain and develop relationships with key contacts, charter clients, National Standing Offer and charter brokerage firms
- Create, edit, and manage proposal templates for prospects
- Follow-up on prospect opportunities, track, and qualify leads
- Confirm charter flights with clients to ensure all aspects of the charter, such as weather dependency/contingency plans are considered and reviewed
- Create estimates and quotes for clients using NavPak charter software
- Prepare and maintain a monthly charter schedule
- Work closely with the Finance Team supporting weekly/monthly financial records and payment processing
- Reconcile monthly external stakeholders invoices
- Maintain market competitive intelligence to ensure competitive advantage and provide appropriate insights to mitigate any potential risk areas
- Ensure information on website charter page is relevant and well structured
- Build external relationships with FBO's (Fixed Base Operations) and ground handling services to ensure best third party service for clients
- Create and maintain a post charter feedback platform
- Participate in weekly/monthly meetings ready to share charter sales updates, prospects, and opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the Inside Sales Coordinator to share knowledge, support daily operations, and provide coverage as required to ensure uninterrupted service to clients
Charter Operations:
- Understand compliancy of crew duty regulations and aircraft maintenance schedules to ensure the charter program is operated efficiently
- Maintain charter manifests, data entry and uploads as needed
- Submit and track all charter requests, manage the confirmation process ensuring all internal stakeholders have confirmed
- Confirm all operational procedures are considered and followed while reviewing efficiencies with aircraft and crew for best utilization
- Work with Revenue Management Team and YVRAA on SCR compliancy
- Ensure charter services are delivered in-line with company tariffs
- Build internal relationships with various teams (i.e. Operations, Airports, Revenue Management, Marketing, Call-Center, and Base Managers) to support the conversion of more clients to charter product
Charter Program:
- Be the primary contact for charter program
- Continue developing the overall charter product
- Improve the client experience
- Enhance confirmation process with internal and external stakeholders
- Be the product expert, build on the knowledge to provide travel solutions to clients
- Create incremental revenue opportunities (PCA travel programs, catering)

Education & Experience
- Diploma, Degree, Certificate from recognized University, College, or Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA), or a minimum of 3-5 years of strategic aviation sales expertise
- Experience selling products to travel agencies, corporate accounts, tour operators, Government and Indigenous communities an asset
- Understanding of aviation reservation systems AmeliaRES, BlueOne, and NavPak is highly desirable
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Aviation experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft platforms
- Excellent people, communication and leadership abilities
- Forward thinking, strategizing possible solutions to mitigate operational challenges
- Sales knowledge, understanding of consultative selling techniques with a heavy focus on customer service and client experience
- Highly motivated, self-starter who independently can develop existing and new business opportunities
