Job Description
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team who will work closely with the accounts payable team, managing banking activities, handling month-end duties and assisting with year-end audit.
You Will Make an Impact by
- Preparing and processing all journal entries, maintaining accuracy in all financial statements
- Maintaining and updating the journal entry log
- Ensuring Monthly work papers are accurate and up to date including back up
- Overseeing and managing all fixed asset accounting functions
- Reconciling all Intercompany balances related to general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Monthly analysis of General Ledger postings and variances
- Performing monthly bank reconciliation
- Monitoring banking activity for fraud
- Supporting AP team with cash receipt postings and reconciliation
- Preparing commodity tax calculations and submitting them to Financial Accounting Manager for approval and remittance
- Coordinating with external auditors during audits
- Helping to identify finance process challenges, collect, and analyzing information to develop informed recommendations
- Collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work
- Performing other accounting duties as assigned
You will Bring to the Team
- Successfully completed related post-secondary education, equivalent to a college diploma in accounting
- Possessing advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and guidelines
- Highly detail oriented, strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- 10+ years of general accounting experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Internet, VantagePoint or other accounting systems software

The hiring base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, internal equity and skills.
