Job Description

The Senior Talent Development Specialist manages the development of talent strategies that help drive organizational growth through investment in our people.

Key areas of focus include performance management, competency assessment, succession planning, career development, and leadership development. Working in partnership with key business partners, this role oversees collaborating with and advising Managers on various initiatives and strategies that will best serve the development needs of the business.

Please note: Note: This position is a 12 Month Limited Term employment opportunity including extended health benefits and 3-weeks' vacation. This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.

What you'll do

  • Drives the talent development strategy from design-stage to implementation by providing subject matter expertise to assess and refresh talent programs including assessment, succession, coaching, career development planning, and performance management.
  • Provides support as Human Resource Business Partner's (HRBPs) implement and execute on talent programs.
  • Completes the talent development strategy by using appropriate methodologies and innovations to deploy relevant, impactful learning solutions as requested by the business.
  • Leads all aspects of the implementation of processes and tools that support various talent modules enabled through an online talent platform.
  • Works with the broader Human Resources Team and Business to identify and develop leadership development, High-Potential Programs and foundational development solutions for all levels of the organization.
  • Manages external vendor relationships that help deploy company-wide, pivotal initiatives.
  • Develops standardized leadership programs to guide development efforts, streamline process, to create efficiency and awareness regarding position requirements.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates coaching methodologies that aligns with the overall talent strategy.
  • Support of other strategic talent initiatives as needed.

What you'll bring
  • Related post-secondary education (i.e., Business, Education, Human Resources, Psychology).
    CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) certification preferred.
  • 7-10 years of direct experience in talent, coaching and/or organizational development.
  • Solid experience in program design, development, and delivery.
  • Experience designing and developing High-Potential Programs, coaching methodologies.
  • Experience developing leadership programs.
  • Related post-secondary education (i.e., Business, Education, Human Resources, Psychology).
    CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) certification preferred.

The estimated salary for this position is $103,500 - $126,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
