What You'll Bring
Required
BSc in Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related field.
4+ years in consulting or industry, with proven leadership in air quality and meteorological field studies.
Strong understanding of air emissions, reporting processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Advanced spreadsheet and database skills.
Exceptional communication and project management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel as needed.
Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
MSc and/or P.Eng or equivalent professional designation.
6+ years in consulting or industry, with proven leadership in air quality and meteorological field studies.
Experience with Environmental Assessments and complex permitting programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead air quality and meteorological field studies, including proposal development and compliance reporting.
Conduct air quality analyses, regulatory evaluations, and emission inventories.
Install and manage meteorological and air quality instrumentation.
Develop accurate air quality permits for Alberta and BC; liaise with regulators for approvals.
Prepare NPRI reports and quantify pollutant emissions.
Implement climate change projects (GHG inventories, energy efficiency, verification).
Author air quality management and monitoring plans.
Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, ensuring quality standards.
Build strong relationships with clients, ERM teams, and subcontractors.
For the Managing Technical Consultant, Air Quality Scientist/Engineer position, the anticipated annual base pay is $93,309–$103,831 (CAD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
