Parts Specialist

Job Description

Alta Material Handling is seeking a full-time Parts Specialist for our Dorval, QC branch. This position is first shift, M - F. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

• Order entry
• Shipping and receiving
• Stocking of parts department
• Sourcing/ordering parts
• General customer service
• Answer calls from customers and technicians
• Serve customers at the counter internally for technicians and externally for customers
• Prepare quotes for parts internally and externally
• Ensure that the warehouse is clean and safe.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in French and English (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a parts department (required)
• General mechanical aptitude
• Possess basic computer skills
• Strong work ethic
• Possess good people skills

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands, talk/hear, sit, will reach with hands and arms; Occasionally will stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Lift and/or Move Functions: Frequently will lift up to 10 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
