Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Supervisor!
As the ECE Supervisor at Ehrlo Early Learning Centre (EELC), you'll lead the daily operations of a early learning community. You'll create a safe, inclusive space where toddlers and young children thrive in all areas of development—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. You will guide and inspire your team to deliver engaging, child-centered activities aligned with the Centre's mission and provincial regulations.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ECE III equivalency.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years as an Early Childhood Educator.
- Leadership experience in team support, development, and guidance.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, coach, mentor, and support others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Child Care Regulations and Ministry of Education guidelines.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build relationships and foster a supportive team environment.
- Creative and adaptable programming skills.
- Proficient in budgeting and resource management.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Program Services
- Oversee and support the team in delivering balanced educator-led and child-directed activities.
- Adapt programming to children's needs and abilities.
- Foster positive relationships between staff, children, and families.
- Manage group activities, enrollment, and communication.
- Ensure quality meals, safe environments, and adherence to health guidelines.
- Oversee child assessments and communicate with families.
- Administer medications and handle any crisis situations.
- Lead team meetings, training sessions, and engage in professional development.
Leadership
- Manage and support the program team, including performance management, staff development, and recruitment.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and team development for all program employees including: facilitating team meetings and individual supervisions; overseeing and providing training and development plans; completing evaluations, reviews, and when applicable, performance improvement plans; and providing advise and consultation.
- Responsible to ensure direct reports have completed mandatory training.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.
Resource Management
- Schedule staff and manage PTO, open shifts, and staffing needs.
- Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
- Oversee resources, including budgeting and supply management.
- Ensure care and maintenance of the Centre's equipment and facilities.
Safety
- Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
- Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.
- Include health and safety in departmental plans with measurable goals and objectives.
- Ensure employees are working in compliance with established safe work practices.

- Complete all mandatory training as per agency policy.

Wage range for this position is $53,622 to $69,284 Annually.
