The Role:
As an STT (Software Training & Transitions) Team Lead you will provide support to the STT Trainer, Specialist, and Senior Specialist in training existing customers on our Fixed Ops (Parts and Service) Dealer Management Software. You will be responsible for assisting customers with the installation and training of their new dealership software, via online/on the phone. The Team Lead motivates, encourages, and coaches team members to reach new levels in development through skills and training.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be able to talk about and navigate our DMS Software to better assist customers
- Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned module(s)
- Conduct training for larger groups and/or complex installs
- Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensure they are being met
- Respond to internal and external training requests in a timely manner and delegate accordingly
- Take over incidents that can't be solved immediately by a Trainer, Specialist, or Senior Specialist
- Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise, escalate issues to corresponding teams
- Ensure STT queue is monitored by STT team
- Follow up on all enhancements that have been created for the STT team
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly planning/review meetings
- Seek ideas and feedback to help improve processes, procedures, and the PBS product
- Help manage changes to processes and procedures
- Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
- Champion and promote best practices and standards
- Create and maintain a positive work environment
- Mentor and train all new employees within your silo(s)
- Motivate, encourage, and coach team members to reach new levels
- Conduct annual and semi-annual performance reviews
- Assist in the recruitment process, interviewing perspective candidates
- Maintain at least two (2) PBS certifications
- Knowledge sharing within own module and others within STT
- Take the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge
- Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
MUST HAVE Skills:
- 1-2 years' experience in a car dealership environment, with a focus in Fixed Operations
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools is essential!
- Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 1 week per month; valid passport, U.S. visa (if applicable), and full driver's license are required

- Excellent communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
- PBS software experience is a strong asset
- Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions is a strong asset
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Outstanding documentation abilities
- High School Diploma
