Term: 4-month internship (May-August 2026)

Based in Brandon, Manitoba, we synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, we employ approximately 270 dedicated team members. Our fundamental commitment to safety, health, and environmental stewardship drives all our processes.

What You Will Do

Join our Environmental team to support sustainability and compliance initiatives. In this role, you will:

  • Conduct groundwater and soil sampling during the 2026 Spring Season to assess water and soil quality.
  • Record sampling data, maintain documentation, and ensure proper handling and storage.
  • Audit and repair monitoring wells as needed.
  • Organize and enter environmental data into tracking systems; assist with reporting and quality control.
  • Support small-scale projects that improve environmental processes and site sustainability goals.
  • Use Maximo software for service requests and environmental task tracking.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-ups; maintain environmental equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with waste documentation and environmental awareness initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently registered as a student in an accredited post-secondary Environmental science or engineering program
  • Valid Class five (5) driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
  • Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles
  • Ability to wear a gas mask-type respirator and PPE
  • Tolerance to occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic/caustic chemicals with appropriate PPE
  • Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant and equipment
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary
  • Ability to travel to and enter site to access equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

What Will Put You Ahead

AVEVA PI VisionProficiency with Microsoft products, specifically ExcelKnowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with Maximo or similar systems.Experience with sampling or monitoring.
