Position Summary

 

The Reliability Co-op/Intern is a proactive and motivated individual within the Reliability team focusing on Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM). In this role, the individual will support the team in ensuring the long-term reliability and availability of our customer's assets by assisting with data acquisition and validating, RAM analysis techniques, reporting, and Reliability software support.

 

The successful candidate will gain:

Regulatory Compliance Requirement

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

Accountable to the THALES TCDS Reliability Manager, the Reliability Co-op/Intern will:

• Assist in reliability data collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support the development and implementation of reliability test plans and maintenance procedures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigation activities, where required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to reliability improvement initiatives.
• Help prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders on reliability metrics and project progress.
• Maintain documentation and databases related to reliability metrics and tests.
• Perform general support tasks as assigned by the Reliability Manager and team.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant college or university program (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Reliability Engineering, or related discipline).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with guidance.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Prior knowledge or coursework related to reliability engineering is an asset.

• Preferred Qualifications
• · Previous experience working with a defense contract.
• - Experience supporting an operational military asset.
• - Experience working in or developing Jira Kanban boards.
• - Experience with MS SharePoint.
• - Experience with gathering data using Google and AI tools.
• - Basic understanding of reliability engineering concepts is an asset. 

• Special Position Requirements 
• - Schedule: 40 hours per week
• - Physical Environment: Office
• - Travel: Occasional domestic or international travel may be required, which will include access to government facilities and assets.  

• Pay Transparency
   The anticipated Total Target Compensation (TTC), inclusive of annual salary and bonus eligibility, for this role is $48,000 to 60,000 CAD Annual​. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's status protected by local, provincial, and federal laws.
