The Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators. From general purpose to highly customized designs, synchronous motors and high voltage induction motors provide high efficiency, reliability and availability across all major industries and applications, including some in the toughest and most demanding environments. The division also has a long track record of designing and building generators for wide range of industries, including power generation, marine, oil and gas, mining, and data centers. As part of the Motion Operation team, you will be reporting to the Project Operations Manager and lead the execution of Drive and Motor projects with medium complexity. This position will work very closely with cross-functional stakeholders with the focus to enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring all requirements and targets are being met.
Your responsibilities

  • Develop full scale project plans and lead the planning and implementation of Drives & Motors projects.
  • Manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
  • Manage project deliverables, change orders, using project management tools.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders and manage the profitability, cash flow, invoicing.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with the customer, production unit, purchasing and the appropriate salesperson.
  • Evaluate and review all applicable contract documents for accuracy, completeness, compliance and risk analysis.
  • Coordinate factory/production inspections, testing, delivery and shipment.
  • Expedite timely delivery of drawings, other documentation and of products.
  • Support the proposals group with commercial clarification.
  • Work closely with supply chain, local and international operations to support customer requirements.
  • Manage changes to the order as they arise in a timely fashion.
  • Support the project management team by developing project documentation.

Your background
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree with 5-7 years of experience with project execution or relevant experience.
  • Project Management PMP Designation will be preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with drives/motor products and ability to conduct technical discussions.
  • Bilingualism written and spoken (French and English).
  • Great communication skills and customer focus.
  • Planning, Organizing, Problem solving.
  • Influencing.
  • Negotiation.
  • Working in virtual team and different time zone.
  • Good sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • SAP knowledge and Logistics are considered an asset.
