Nordion is seeking a Forecasting & Planning Coordinator to support our Cobalt-60 production and supply operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory management, smooth production coordination, and reliable data to support operational and financial decision-making.

The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in inventory tracking, production support, and planning coordination, while working closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality Control, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Compliance

Maintain accurate tracking of critical component inventory to support production and compliance requirements

Perform regular cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives

Assist with month-end and year-end inventory reporting for financial and audit purposes

Ensure inventory records are maintained in alignment with regulatory and quality requirements

Production, Quality, and Finance Support

Support coordination between Production, Quality Control, and Finance teams

Assist in tracking production activities and ensuring required documentation is complete

Provide data and reporting support to enable efficient operational execution

Work Order Preparation & Processing

Prepare and process work orders and production documentation

Distribute sales order packages and support allocation tracking

Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with procedures

Team Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Provide back-up support to Forecast & Planning Specialists during absences

Collaborate with team members to support planning, coordination, and operational activities

Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and organization

Qualifications

Community College Diploma (2-year) in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business, or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a business, operations, or supply chain environment

Experience in inventory management, coordination, or planning roles is considered an asset

Skills & Competencies

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail

Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities

Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)

Experience with Oracle or ERP systems (preferred)

Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Additional Requirements

Ability to complete all required training to qualify as a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW)

Willingness to work in a regulated and compliance-driven environment
