Mission Statement: Lead the Regional Excitation business with accountability for full P&L across the complete business value chain for profitable growth in alignment with the overall Business Line Strategy and People, Customer and Results focus.
Your responsibilities

  • Implements the business line strategy in the Region for profitable growth of Excitations business.
  • Sets and achieves customer and market driven strategic direction for driving profitable growth and capi-tal efficiency of Excitations business line regionally, in line with the Business Line and Division strategy.
  • Ensures in the region competitive design and operation of the value chain/geographic footprint by offering, country, business function and customer segment in collaboration with Global Excitation supply Units.
  • Runs the business end-to-end, i.e., front-end to back-end operations and is responsible for all day-to-day management decisions covering products, solutions, systems and services within the Region.
  • Decides and manages all operational matters, e.g., tenders or supply contracts, risk reviews, investment/divestment in physical assets, within approved limits in collaboration with the Business Line and its guidelines.
  • Responsible for establishing and achieving all financial and operational targets as set by the Business Line, including orders, orders gross margin, revenues, market share, EBITA, net income and net working capital.
  • Drives market penetration across customer segments, including leveraging on cross-selling opportunities to maximize organic growth.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities for Mergers and Acquisitions, in collaboration with Business Line, Di-vision, Business area and Group M&A, as well as Partnerships and Joint Ventures to drive inorganic growth.
  • Ensures customer focused collaboration in conjunction with Group, Regional Account Management organization and empowers responsible regional and local managers to solve customer issues rapidly in the best overall interest of ABB.
  • Hires, coaches and develops future leaders across all layers, adhering to Division, Business area and Group guidelines, e.g. in terms of D&I.

Your background
  • 5-10 plus years of experience in Regional management role, P&L management in regional roles with suc-cessful prior functional leadership experience in Sales/Project Execution/Operations/Account Manage-ment and Service.
  • Thorough understanding of Excitation business and customer needs in the different segments,
  • Proven personal leadership in building and leading large teams, shaping collaborative, diverse and inclusive organizational culture with high strategic and results orientation.
  • Global mind-set, inter-cultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual French and English.
