Job Description

Technical Analyst, Financial Systems works closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to create both business, functional and technical requirements for features and functionality to support our business needs.

Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement

What you'll do

  • Business and functional requirements gathering & document technical requirements.
  • Support security administration - including role maintenance and license tracking.
  • Configuration management.
  • Performs troubleshooting and investigates root cause of production issues.
  • Translating business strategy into technology roadmaps for consumption by teams
  • Prioritizing requirements based on business and technical needs.
  • Assess configuration options to meet requirements and specifications.
  • Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business stakeholders.
  • Include dependency management and architectural decisions in requirements.
  • Utilizing artifacts such as business requirements documents (BRDs), JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirements alignment sessions an support application changes.
  • Documents technical solutions to identified problems.
  • Strong skills in cross-functional partnership and gaining alignment within constraints of the project or work.

What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Information Systems and/or a professional designation: CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of global experience working with Tier 1 ERP systems, Oracle EBS Financials R12.2 preferred.
  • Experience in a functional lead role in ERP Financials full life-cycle project implementation including post Go-Live support preferred.
  • Strong application knowledge in Oracle Financials: GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Projects, Fixed Assets, eBTax, iExpense, Cash Management.
  • Solid experience in designing integrations to and from Oracle Financials, FCCS and EPBCA
  • Working knowledge in peripheral applications such as EPM applications: FCCS, EPBCS that integrate closely with Oracle Financials.
  • Good understanding of Oracle Cloud technical environment update process.
  • Experience with the application set up and configuration of Oracle Financials.
  • Good understanding of the underlying database tables, interfaces, and data relationships to other Oracle Application modules.
  • The technical skills necessary to help developers design solutions according to specifications.
  • Ability to manage system integrations and UAT cycle for update.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, and a keen ability to present ideas in clear and user-friendly language.
  • Must be reliable and flexible in response to dynamic work demands, deadline oriented, self-managed and able to act on own where circumstances dictate.

The estimated salary for this position is $99,000-$121,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Apply
