Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America is seeking a Reliability Program Manager. Based in Calgary or Red Deer, this position requires a person with strong maintenance background with the ability to develop reliability strategies for plant fixed equipment assets.  The Reliability Program Manager will be willing to learn and teach new techniques in reliability centered maintenance programs.  This position reports to the Director of Corporate Reliability.

  • Implement progressive and integrated reliability improvement processes

  • Lead reliability system assessments to determine the maturity level of the reliability programs Implement and manage equipment reliability improvements

  • Implement a Root Cause Analysis Program (RCA)

  • Train Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Quality Personnel on RCA theory and assist in the implementation of the process, and lead or assist personnel with RCA's as required

  • Train and educate maintenance and operations personnel on the latest PM/PDM technologies (i.e. vibration analysis, oil analysis, ultrasonic inspections, infrared, acoustic emissions, motor circuit analysis, and non-destructive testing such as MPT, UT, IR)

  • Develop and train personnel on planning and scheduling of Work Orders and measure compliance to developed plans

  • Develop and Establish Condition Based Monitoring Program

  • Compile results from reliability initiatives and compare against established RCM benchmarks

Requirements

  • 5 plus years' experience in Reliability Engineering or 10 years of experience in Maintenance.

  • Reliability team leadership experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, Projects, Word and PowerPoint

  • Understanding of equipment technologies and limitations and their effect on safety, quality, productivity, and cost

  • Proven teamwork, communication (oral and written), administrative and organizational skills

  • Ability to interface effectively at all company levels
