Georgia-Pacific is seeking a safety-oriented individual to join our team as a Certified Instrumentation Technicians (447A) or Experienced Instrumentation Technician Apprentices in Englehart, ON. Our Team

Our OSB (Oriented Strand Board) Mill in Englehart, ON is seeking Certified Electricians. We offer a competitive compensation package including shift premiums, performance pay, benefits and pension.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Perform technical work in the repair, adjustment, calibration, and maintenance of a variety of analytical and recording instruments and equipment used in detecting and measuring the OSB process
  • Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Interpret and read PID loop circuit diagrams
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members in a collaborative environment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards (e.g., OHSA, CSA Z462, Canadian Electrical Code)
  • Ability to work 8-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • You must have (1) one of the following:
    • 2000 hours attributed to an Industrial Electrician Apprenticeship
    • Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technician Diploma
    • Electrical Engineering Technology Graduate
    • Industrial Electrician Certification

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 447A Instrumentation Red Seal Certification OR OACETT C.Tech Certification
  • Experience in the OSB or wood products industry
