Site Description: Toronto Pearson International Airport is the fourth-largest entry point in North America. Toronto Pearson continues to grow with the increasing number of passengers annually by partnering with new airlines and connecting passengers to different regions of the world. Toronto Pearson is home to some world class shops, restaurants and handy services to cater to everyone's needs. The GTAA is the operator and manager of Toronto Pearson International Airport with a 15-member Board of Directors comprised of professionals from the world of aviation and business sectors as well as local citizens.

Job Description: The Pre-Arranged Office Dispatcher shall comply with the following or perform the activitiesbelow:

  • Register new companies & drivers;
  • Review & approve driver self-registration requests;
  • Create bookings and generate permits;
  • Suspend and deactivate account if necessary;
  • Accept payments for loading stored values;
  • Issue refunds and process vouchers;
  • Provides support regarding all bookings for both Terminals;
  • Co-ordinate dispatch of vehicles from the holding area to the Terminal curbs;
  • Dispatching vehicles through the PARD System;
  • Accurate and timely completion of pre-arranged audit when PARD system malfunctions;
  • Ensure matching of passenger to appropriate vehicle;
  • Respond to passenger, company & driver inquiries and assist where needed;
  • Complete bank deposit and reconciliation of funds;
  • In case of PARD failure, use spreadsheet for vehicles that are already booked and dispatch over PA system;
  • Operate system in a degrade mode by calling vehicles over PA system;
  • Operate in a manual mode;
  • Maintain record for passengers at Pre-arranged curbs with no cars booked for them;
  • Assist drivers with automated system;
  • Respond immediately to all requests or operational changes as directed by the
Groundside Operations Employees;
    • Report any unusual activity in the Pre-arranged Compound; and
    • All other related duties as required.

Prerequisites: At the time of the interview, applicants must be able to produce proof of completion of the following:

  • comfortable work independently
  • must have a MLEO certification
  • comfortable using technology
