Evraz North America is looking for a dynamic Senior Field Services Representative to join our team in either Calgary or Red Deer or Edmonton Alberta. Reporting to the Manager of Field Services, the representative will carry out the critical function of supporting our customers in the field application of our tubular products.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct field technical support to our key customers and internal stakeholders in each Tubular Product Group product line. This is performed by performing onsite visits to address customers concerns.
  • As needed, witness product field installations and respond to field complaints in a timely manner
  • Participate in the product claim resolution process including representing EVRAZ's interests in the field, coordinating failure sample collection, inventory management and field product salvage processes, customer communication and claim cost documentation
  • Communicate/define product development opportunities, as required, follow subsequent customer trials in the field and communicate trial results to end users & customers
  • Analyze field inspection and test reports, prepare written reports summarizing findings
  • Network with customer engineering groups responsible for product development, develop technical exchanges, coordinate efforts with sales groups
  • Maintain a working knowledge of EVRAZs' manufacturing processes and key technologies
  • Perform Audits of NDT processes utilized at EVRAZ manufacturing facilities (MT, MFL)

Requirements

  • Technical degree in Engineering or a combination of technical knowledge and 15 years of OCTG field experience
  • 10 years' experience in technical services support in an inspection and/or NDT related business
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in Canada and to the United States
  • Expert in OCTG threaded connections, specifically, casing and tubing connection make-up processes
  • Expert in visual inspections of line pipe and line pipe coatings
  • Working knowledge of industrial ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and electromagnetic inspection techniques
  • Experience with ISO process for corrective action reporting
  • Proven technical writing skills combined with the ability to produce detailed reports, document product specifications and statistical analysis
  • Excellent verbal communication skills: client interaction, presentations, and negotiation of claims related to product quality deficiencies
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of API 5CT, 5B, 5B1, RP5A5, 5C1 specifications and recommend practices
  • Strong working knowledge of API connection make-up & troubleshooting practices (SC, LC & BC)
  • Strong working knowledge of semi-premium and premium connection make-up & troubleshooting practices.
  • Working knowledge of CSA Z245.1 requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of tubular product quality investigation processes. 
  • Working knowledge of running OCTG on rigs.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline construction processes.
