We currently have an opening for a Consultant: Data Solutions Specialist to join our DAV (Digital, Analytics, and Visualization) team. YOUR ROLE

The Data Solutions Specialist is accountable for:

  • Managing qualitative and quantitative data sets
  • Administration of content management systems and other backend tools to support web-based product and service development and delivery
  • Developing in a low-code tech stack such as bubble.io, knack.com, and Wordpress  
  • Managing PowerBI dashboards
  • Providing query/reporting support, and developing reporting dashboards
  • Supporting application development through project management, UI/UX design and development, and other activities as skills and tasks warrant
  • Prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Effectively communicating with the DAV group, project teams, and laboratories
  •   Administering cloud-based data storage products to facilitate ingress and egress of both structured and non-structured data 
  • Performing features comparison research to identify novel solutions to service delivery and product design
  • Developing initial analysis of research findings for design briefs and application feature specifications 
  • Undertaking web and literature research for specific projects, as needed
  • Exploring and designing methods and approaches for data visualization 
  • Verifying cross-platform data integrity 
  • Preparing materials, providing administrative support for project teams and other tasks as needed 

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Degree in a related field
  • Proficient analytical skills
  • Possess ability to pick up on use of a low-code tech stack, including but not limited to: bubble.io, knack.com, sendgrid.com 
  • Possess strong writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite
  • Strong abilities in one or several of the following: 
    • Sequel database
    • Earthsoft EQuIS
    • Power BI
    • Power Automate
    • Web application or software development 
    • Web design and UI/UX design 
    • Agile Project Management 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  

Valuable assets 

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development projects 
  • Coding skills in python, JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant languages 
  • Training in data science including statistical modelling, data preparation and cleansing, large dataset optimization, commercial and open-source data modelling and analysis tools
  • Understanding of machine-learning techniques including natural language processing, sentiment analysis, deep neural networks, model training processes and related tools
  • Experience configuring and administering web applications
  • Ability to research literature and internet-based sources and consolidate information into concise findings, and effectively communicate results
  • French language skills
