Our Contract Engineering Department is Canada's largest supplier of space optical sensors used, among other things, for greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and weather forecasting worldwide. Our plant is also known for its expertise in the development and manufacture of various products that make it possible to meet several industrial analysis needs on a daily basis.By joining one of the largest engineering departments in Québec, you will actively contribute to the projects of our customers., as well as to the research and development of our technology. You will be part of a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary team where you will perform various tasks, while ensuring the respect and continuous improvement of our methodology, tools, and work processes.Your role as an integration and testing technician will be to execute integration and testing campaigns, on completion of which you will deliver state-of-the-art projects that meet strict quality criteria and that comply with the demanding requirements of our customers.
Your responsibilities

  • Work in a clean room environment.
  • Integrate complex systems while respecting the standards imposed by our customers (IPC, NASA, ESA, ASC).
  • Prepare the environment and equipment required for performance testing.
  • Carry out performance tests.
  • Participate in the design reviews and work in close collaboration with the other disciplines to ensure product integrability and testability.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of the problems encountered.
  • Ensure compliance with our methodology and contribute to the continuous improvement of our tools.
  • Respect the safety rules (SST, CE, CSA) and standards (IPC, NASA, ESA, ASC).

Your background
  • You have a DCS in physical technique or a related discipline.
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in opto-mechanical and electronic assembly/assembly.
  • You have a good knowledge of MSOffice.
  • You are fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
  • You have a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
  • You have great personal motivation, you are autonomous, you show initiative, and you care about order and quality.
  • You have a strong commitment to safe work practices and compliance with workplace safety rules.
  • You have a good knowledge of optics and are familiar with how a Fourier-transform interferometer works, as well as the effect of its various components on performance (asset).
