Amsted Canada has established a new Business Center in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.  We are elevating our Global Technology teams in several areas including but not limited to Security, Development, Infrastructure, Emerging Technology, SAP, and Engineering.  These teams are instrumental in providing support to all Amsted affiliate locations worldwide.

Amsted Canada has an exciting opportunity for an energetic Customer Service Representative supporting our Amsted Seals affiliate.  Amsted Seals was born out of innovation within Amsted Rail, to maximize and scale the disruptive spin-forming technology across high-impact applications within Amsted Industries and with external customers.  Through direct sales and partnership programs, this global business will continue to expand its service offering into new industry applications.  Combined with the expertise and design foundation of Amsted's long-standing seal businesses, it creates a rare combination of value and performance.  As part of this new business, you will be an important partner in shaping the business's continued growth and development as a strategic growth business for Amsted. 

Position Details:

The Customer Service Representative is a critical external facing position for Amsted Seals.  This position will own the order entry and invoicing processes, interfacing with Sales, Operations and the Customer.  This position will report to the Global Supply Chain Director for Amsted Seals and work closely with all phases of the business to service the customer.

What you will do:
  • Receive phone calls for customers to answer inquiries on various issues including: orders, billing, returns, invoicing and shipments
  • Works with internal and external sales teams to verify placed orders and register them into the ERP system
  • Works with Finance, Engineering and Supply Chain to setup and verify accuracy of new and existing part master data in the ERP system (SAP)
  • Communicates with and transfers information between operations (distribution) and sales
  • Owns the order entry process and is responsible for keeping order and other data entry elements current
  • Responsible for documenting and streamlining the customer service processes
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Power user in spreadsheets (Excel, SmartSheets) and ERP systems (SAP) with the ability to learn other computer systems as needed

Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years relevant experience in customer service
  • Associates Degree in business, finance or related fields or equivalent experience
This position is being filled in our Charlottetown office and is not available for remote work at this time.
