Position Summary

This is an important role in the IAM PM team for the SafeNet Trusted Access cloud product. This role designs the user experience for end user authentication journeys and directly impacts the life of all the end users of the SafeNet Trusted Access product.

Ottawa, ON Hybrid Position

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Work with product management team to define product experience and champion the user.
  • Responsible for researching and designing the overall user experience for key new projects, as well as supporting ongoing improvements of current product, including: conducting user testing, prototyping, creating wireframes and UI concepts, field research and combing through analytics. 
  • Present design solutions and project deliverables to team members and stakeholders.
  • Be able to drive consensus and negotiate trade-offs effectively.
  • Deliver appropriate level of design specifications needed to engineering to ensure high quality development on time. 
  • Collaborate as appropriate on creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work independently against deadlines.
  • Find ways to maximize the efficiency in an agile process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in user experience design for software products or in a consulting environment
  • Sketching, concept creation and wire framing, producing user flows, creating clickable prototype
  • Knowledge of interaction architecture practices in UX and the ability to take wireframes through to well-executed visual designs.
  • Good presentation skills and able to present to stakeholders and good stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in key software packages such as Sketch, InVision and Axure. Sound knowledge of web and mobile technologies.
  • Demonstrated success working in a cross functional team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills in English are required.
  • Previous design experience working on B2B solutions for the enterprise market desired. Must demonstrate adoption of best practices in UX design for production delivery across platforms, i.e, desktop and mobile.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA degree in HCI, graphic design or related field; or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience in research methods - usability testing (lab), phone interview, focus groups.

  • Must be able to work on a computer
