Located in Owen Sound and reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent co-develops, curates, and implements programs and events that advance the College's 2022-2024 operational plan on the Owen Sound campus. The Manager supports the Executive Director, Owen Sound campus in facilitating collaborative partnerships with public, private, and non-profit sector organizations. Bringing an entrepreneurial approach to the position, the Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability of the Owen Sound campus by leading and supporting successful implementation strategies that align to key business objectives outlined in the College's operational plan. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Enhancing recruitment activities that encourage learners of all ages to engage in Georgian College's programming on the Owen Sound campus. Priority groups and activities include, but are not limited to traditionally underrepresented groups, mature learners, apprentices, grades K-12 and professionals
• Developing partnerships with public, private, and non-profit organizations in the communities that the Owen Sound campus serves to support regional capacity building, with a focus on training, research and work-integrated learning (WIL)
• Supporting ongoing community engagement to elevate Georgian College's profile and reputation in the communities that the Owen Sound campus serves
• Assisting the campus leadership team in improving the critical enablers of strategic priorities and sustainable growth, including the quality and engagement of our people - faculty, staff, students, and alumni - and the stability and sustainability of our finances, technology, systems, and physical infrastructure
• Meaningfully contribute to modular, apprenticeship, and post-secondary program development for the Owen Sound campus through:
o Research that integrates feedback from public, private, and non-profit partners; faculty and staff; prospective and current students; market data; relevant literature; and data collected through in-house assessment tools
o Participate in the development and curation of a program mix on the Owen Sound campus that is attractive to prospective learners and meets market needs
o Meaningfully contribute to meetings with colleagues and external partners to help build program proposals and implementation timelines
o Lead, when appropriate, the development of funding proposals (e.g., Mitacs, NSERC, provincial and federal government) that support program and campus growth
• Monitoring programs developed with partners with a focus on continuous improvement through:
o Engagement in ongoing reflection with program partners to identify areas for improvement
o Collaboration with colleagues to implement improvement strategies that lead to student success
o Supporting the coordination of the Owen Sound campus advisory committee and program advisory committees to ensure ongoing learning, communication, and collaboration with community
• Helping to improve conditions that support student success on the Owen Sound campus

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Successfully completed a minimum of a 3-year degree in a field of study such as Business Administration, Organizational Development, Learning, Adult Education or a related field
• Completion of a Masters considered an asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in areas such as program, community, and/or economic development
• Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative community partnerships with private, public, and non-profit organizations
• Entrepreneurial skills demonstrated by experience leading a business and/or departmental growth and innovation
• Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion with proficiency in the planning and implementation phases
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate and foster a collegial and collaborative work environment
• Demonstrated leadership and team building skills that lead to a productive and positive workplace
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and support in the College
• Proven experience providing a customer-centered approach to program design and service delivery
• Experience in curriculum development and program planning considered an asset
• Experience in budget development and management and grant proposal development considered an asset
