What you'll do

Uses reporting and analytical framework to deliver data and data solution to customers, partners, and others optimizing for reuse and effective decision management.

• Lead & design solutions based on ongoing engagements with business teams. Use engagements to deliver effective solutions and to determine continuous improvement opportunities and establish a pipeline of work. 
• Perform data analysis on opportunities to determine viability and to size impacts to business process improvements and expected work effort. Use analysis to assist in sequencing activities and development plans.
• Build capabilities in data quality and consistency by embedding controls and error handling within solutions.
• Participate in the architecture, design and implementation of complex data solutions including having demonstrated knowledge of  development best practices for the full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Performance tune and optimize stored procedures, tables, and triggers. Work with data engineers to troubleshoot, repair and performance tune solutions in a variety of database environments.

• Mentor other data developers to support their performance and pass on knowledge

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree required in Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Computer Science or 5-7 years of experience working in developing and following structured work processes in data development and / or analytics solution design
• MS-SQL, Power BI and Cloud experience (Azure, Snowflake) a must 
• Knowledge of business analytics and performance management principles including KPI and KRI management.
• Experience in communicating progress/approach with technical and non-technical peers/clients
• Python, Pyspark, Git, an asset
